Draining an in-ground concrete pool in warm climates can lead to surface damage and cracking. When the temperature rises above 70-75 degrees, and the pool's surface remains dry, the concrete can become vulnerable to cracks. The lack of water to regulate the temperature of the pool's shell causes the concrete to contract, increasing the risk of surface damage and weakening the overall pool structure.
When pools are installed, a hole is dug larger than the pool itself, and the pool is placed inside it. The area around the pool is then filled with dirt, creating a "backfill" effect. The original earth forms a bowl that collects water in the looser backfill. When the pool is full, the pressure from the water balances the groundwater. But once the pool is drained, there's nothing counteracting the pressure from the groundwater. The danger posed by high groundwater levels makes draining concrete pools a perilous decision.
In-ground vinyl liner swimming pools are particularly vulnerable when drained. Older pools may not have been structurally designed to hold back the weight of the surrounding soil without the support of water inside the pool. When the pool is drained, the lack of water pressure can cause the walls to collapse, leading to irreparable damage. Additionally, groundwater can exert upward pressure on the liner, causing it to float, resulting in critical liner tears and distortion. These hazards make draining a vinyl liner pool a risky and costly endeavor.

Maintaining the right water balance and chemistry is crucial for ensuring a hygienic and sanitized pool. With the Pur Pool Water process, the water remains consistent in terms of pH, alkalinity, and other essential parameters. Balanced water chemistry not only promotes better sanitization but also prevents the growth of unwanted substances. As a result, your pool water remains crystal clear, inviting, and safer for everyone to enjoy.
One of the minerals harmful to a pool is calcium, and just like calcium builds up on the faucets in your home, it also builds up on your pool and in your pool equipment! The Pur Pool Water Process utilizes advanced Reverse Osmosis Filtration, to effectively eliminate calcium hardness and TDS from your pool water. These dissolved impurities are known to create an environment conducive to scale formation, cloudy water, and reduced effectiveness of pool chemicals. By removing these contaminants, the water becomes purer and more receptive to chlorine and other sanitizers, ensuring a safer and healthier swimming experience for all pool users.
Without the excess calcium and TDS It's much easier to maintain the right water balance and chemistry, which is crucial for ensuring a hygienic and sanitized pool. With the Pur Pool Water process, the water remains consistent in terms of pH, alkalinity, and other essential parameters. Balanced water chemistry not only promotes better sanitization but also prevents the growth of algae and other unwanted substances.
As a result of balanced water chemistry, your pool is much safer for everyone to enjoy. Through the RO process, harmful pathogens, bacteria, and microorganisms are efficiently filtered out of the pool water. These microorganisms can thrive and multiply in unbalanced pool water, leading to waterborne illnesses and infections. The advanced filtration technology of the Pur Pool Water RO Process ensures that your pool water is free from these potential health hazards, providing peace of mind for pool owners and swimmers alike.

Please turn off your pool pumps before your service appointment. We want to keep the water movement as undisturbed as possible for the most ideal filtration.
We'll arrive on the morning of your scheduled service date. After notifying you of our arrival, we'll then proceed to find the best place for our trailer, plan out a hose route to your pool, and get your pool connected to our reverse osmosis system.
The set-up process generally takes 1-2 hours, and then our team will depart. We will track the progress of your pool via our remote application and will pop by if notified by our system of any irregularities.
Reverse osmosis for the average pool is around 12 hours, so our trailer will stay in location until the following morning (around 24 hours).
The morning after service, we will be back to confirm completion, perform testing, and detach our system from your pool. This process will again take 1-2 hours. Before departing, we will double-check to be sure we put everything back just as we found it, and notify you of our departure.
We recommend yearly or bi-yearly purification to keep calcium at bay, ensure hygienic water conditions, prevent any build-up in your system, and reduce chemical usage (by ensuring optimal water balancing).
